Well So Kinda Sorta Maybe

I’m generally not what you’d call retiring or quiet. But I can be shy, and I can be hesitant.

One evening last week, in two situations, one personal and one professional, those came out in full force.

Maybe it was the phase of the moon. More likely it was just where my head was at.

But where I ought to have been declarative, I was questioning. Where I should have been concise, I was using filler words. Where I should have been forthright, I was being noncommittal.

I’m not sure if it’s noticeable, but it frustrates me to no end when I can see that that’s the loop I’m stuck in.
