One-third in, 2025 feels different to me than other scary years (2020, 2008, 2001). More unsettled, I think, and less unified.
And while we have amazing tools – AI being perhaps the biggest – too many people are missing another of the biggest.
Ourselves.
I’ve had executives say, “oh, we’ll just feed the transcript to ChatGPT to write an article.” And I fully understand the need to do more with less. But what I haven’t figured out how to say politely is….
How much content do YOU skip and skim because it isn’t interesting? And why, why, WHY do you think your audience is different?
We’re all overclocked and under-connected. We’re starved for humanity, vulnerability, humor. We each intuitively know this about ourselves and each other. So, given what we KNOW we need, why are people not even bothering to try?
AI is here to help us. Humans, however, are here to connect. That’s something you can’t outsource.
The need is bigger, the opportunity greater – and, frankly, the level of competition lower – than ever.
Let’s talk. Really talk.
