  • I did my master’s thesis on how internet-enabled media were bringing together British English and American English. (Yeah, “internet-enabled” – this was before “digital media,” before “social media”, even before “new media”.) • New York is the city I know the best. A cool link for Manhattanites: Manhattan Elsewhere .
  • Nothing amazes me more than the sheer talent of a cappella. This is five minutes of guaranteed happy: Naturally 7, Le Metro .
  • I’m pet-free now, but grew up with four cats and five dogs (not all nine at once, but sometimes as many as five). So this is if you need an even easier happy fix .

I didn’t know you liked a cappella! Did you know I was the director of my college a cappella group?

didn’t know you liked a cappella – here’s a link to the a cappella group at the college where my husband teaches (he’s in the music department, as the band director) – they’re pretty good. http://www.upintheair.us/

also – THESE guys are incredible – they are a pro group out of Cali, I think. I’ve seen them several times. http://www.m-pact.com/
